<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://greghancockfuneralchapel.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/93_145747.jpg" alt="Bobby Lawrence Lowe" />Bobby Lawrence Lowe, 74, of Americus passed away June 18, 2013, at his home in Americus.
Bobby was born November 10, 1938, in Macon County, Georgia. He graduated from Oglethorpe High School in 1956, and went on to earn a B.S. degree in Business Administration/Economics from Valdosta State University in 1960. He worked as the Executive Director of the Middle Flint Regional Development Commission for over 30 years until he retired in 2002. Bobby was a strong man of faith and was devoted to the Lord, his wife and his family.  He enjoyed traveling, golfing, and spending time with family. He was most recently a member of Central Baptist Church.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents John Madison and Fran Hendricks Lowe of Garden Valley, GA, and parents-in-law John Deward and Evelyn Joiner Mays of Americus, GA.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years Glenda Mays Lowe of Americus; his son, Russ Lowe (Maggie) and children Brandon, Heather and Jared of Blue Ridge, GA; his daughter Tracy Lowe Sykes (Steve) and children Courtney, Natalie and Stephen of Thomasville, GA; his son Roger Lowe (Melissa) and children Kassidy, Kandice and Matt of Americus, GA; and stepmother Evelyn F. Mays of Americus, GA.
He is also survived by sisters Virginia Spillers (Luther) and Joy Albritton (Larry) all of Butler, GA; brothers Troy Lowe (LaVerne) of Stone Mountain, GA, and Larry Lowe (Debbie) of Sedro Wooley, WA, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church in Americus on June 21, 2013, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Hugh DeLoach and Rev. Bryan Myers officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times their residence, 116 Briarwood Circle, Americus.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://greghancockfuneralchapel.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/93_145535.jpg" alt="Billie Jean Pugh Cosby" />Billie Jean Pugh Cosby, age 83, of Sumter Retirement Village, formerly of Preston, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Barbour County, AL., she was born April 27, 1930, the daughter of the late Jack and Esther Ketchum Pugh, Sr. Mrs. Cosby was a member of Plains United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lee Smith and Laurie Hartley officiating. Burial will follow at the Preston City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the residence of Elaine Pugh, 104 Cherry Laurel Trail, Southland Ridge, Americus. Pallbearers include Jimmy Bankston, Mike Bankston, Jamie Conger, Chuck Stewart, Bengy Conger, Bobby Pilcher and Buster Pilcher. Survivors include two sisters and a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, Vivian and Harold Bankston of Preston, Hazel Kinnett of Preston and Elaine Pugh of Americus; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Susan Pugh of Morgantown and Butch and Dianne Pugh of Andersonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bo Cosby; a son, Robert Terry Cosby; a sister, Jeanette Chavers; a brother, Jack Pugh; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Kinnett and Fred Chavers.

Mrs. Brookins was owner of This &amp; That Antique Shop in Andersonville. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved reading and her animals. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Andersonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Owen, age 85, of 273 Tallent Store Rd., died May 29, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Ashburn, she was born April 28, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Ola Mae Durham Kelley. Mrs. Owen was retired from The Tog Shop where she was employed as Shipping Supervisor. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Michael Iverson Langdale, 53 years old, born April 8, 1960, entered into rest May 29, 2013. Michael (Mike) was the second child of four boys born to Willie Mae Langdale and the late Lloyd George (LG) Langdale. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Langdale-Bath-Clearwater High School in Bath, S.C. He was a pipefitter for thirty years and worked at Plant Vogel phase 1 in the early 80’s. He served his apprenticeship with Steamfitter, Pipefitter Local 150 in Augusta, GA. Later he took to the road traveling with various contractors. Mike will be missed by many. Along with his mother he leaves behind three brothers, Alan (Kathy) Langdale of Graniteville, SC, Glenn(Lisa) Langdale and Carroll Langdale both of North Augusta, SC; a lifelong companion, Debra Mims of Cobb; her sons, Garrett Mims of Cobb and Josh (Cherie) Mims of Athens and two step-grandchildren, three nephews, one niece and one great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers include Garrett Mims, Josh Mims, Jason Langdale, Benjamin Langdale, Travis Langdale and Brandon Flynt. A native of Stewart County, he was born June 16, 1944, the son of the late Wiley Burl and Ruby Marietta Kennedy Holbrook. Mr. Holbrook was Baptist by faith, served in the Army and loved auto racing.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Preston City Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times 693 Highway 153, Preston.

A native of Americus, He was born January 25, 1947, the son of the late Marvin Smith Sr. and Sara Thelma Bishop Satterfield who survives him. Mr. Smith attended Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his children, and was a devoted father. Mr. Smith was compassionate and giving and also supportive of others. He was a hard worker.
A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. William Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Marvin Smith, 885 Old Andersonville Rd., Andersonville.
