James Julian Griffin

James Julian Griffin, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1947 in Americus, Ga to the late Marvin Julian Griffin and Marie Phillips. He attended Georgia Tech Institute of Technology and received a degree in Industrial management. James had a calling by the Lord to go into marriage counseling which he helped many families over the years. James spent many hours on his family’s fish pond where he loved to fish.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 6,2024 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Dale Hammons Officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at the family’s residence at 848 Tallent Store Road Americus, GA.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Trudy Johansen Griffin of Americus; his two sons Jayson (Shana) Griffin and Jance Griffin of Americus; his daughter Sarah (Caswell) Earnest of Daphne, AL; his brother Charles (Margaret) Griffin of Auburn, AL; his sister Joy (Jon) Roby of Madison, GA; his grandchildren Harley Gunter, Gavin Stanley, Emma Griffin, James Griffin, Keaton Griffin, Ansley Stanley, Eli Griffin and Lyle Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Julian Griffin and Marie Phillips Griffin
