Name: Jeffrey Lashley Dates: Birth date: April 21, 1965 Death date: July 7, 2012 Obituary: Jeffery “Jeff” Lashley, age 47, of Cobb, died in Macon Saturday, July 7, 2012. A native of Fort Valley, he was born April 21, 1965, the son of Luther Cecil and Marianne Lavender Lashley. Mr. Lashley was a member of Powersville United Methodist Church in Powersville, GA. He was employed as a service tech with Pearce Sales and Service. He was an avid music lover and was in several bands including “smokehouse”. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery, 472 Flintside Dr., Cobb with Rev. Lawton Sammons officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel, 142 Southland Rd., Americus. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 472 Flintside Dr., Cobb, GA 31735. Survivors include his parents, Cecil and Marianne Lashley of Cobb; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Dawn Lashley of Cobb; and three nieces, Nikki Lashley of Lawrenceville, Sara Lashley of Lawrenceville and Kelly Wade of Byron.
